My Story
For a long time, I felt defined by the shadows. Living with CPTSD, depression, and anxiety often felt like navigating a landscape without a map. When I became a mother and experienced the overwhelming weight of postpartum depression, those shadows grew longer.

But in the middle of the dark, I started doing something small: I started tracing the light.
I found that light in the rhythm of my breath, the resilience of my spirit, and most importantly, in my writing. Words became the lantern I carried to find my way back to myself.

Why I Started “Tracing the Light”
I built this space because I know how lonely the road to recovery can feel. I know what it’s like to feel like your past is a permanent weight or that your mind is a place you can’t quite rest in.

This blog is a living record of my journey. It is a collection of:

Honest Reflections: The raw, unfiltered reality of living with trauma and motherhood.

Healing Through Words: The poetry and prose that helped me survive my darkest moments.

Finding the Glimmers: Learning to spot the beauty and hope that still exists, even on the hardest days.

My Mission
My mission is to offer a soft place to land by sharing the honest reflections and healing words that help me navigate the complexities of CPTSD, depression, and motherhood.

A Note to You
If you are here because you are struggling, please know this: You are not a burden, and your story is not over. Whether you are here to find a poem that speaks to your soul or simply to feel less alone in your struggle, I am so glad you found this corner of the world.

We are all just tracing the light together.
